Installation Guide
When the uninstallation is completed, rebuild the kernel by
typing the command:
# /etc/conf/bin/idbuild -B
Press Enter.
Reboot the system to make sure the system boots correctly. Type
the command:
# init 6
The following sequences will happen after the init 6
command is issued:
• Terminates running services.
• Save your /stand/unix to /stand/unix.old then
• copy the new kernel from /etc/conf/cf.d/unix to /stand/unix.
• reboot system.
If System Crashes after Installing or Removing the
Driver in a Running UnixWare System
You may have to boot from the backup kernel created earlier and
then perform the driver update/removal procedure again. To
boot from the old kernel, follow these steps:
Reboot the computer.
At the Booting UNIX System... prompt or loading UnixWare
graphics, press the Spacebar. This will take you into a boot
prompt.
